  • Hearing Dogs for Deaf People

The Bridges’ chosen charity for 07/08 is Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. The work of the charity can in the most extreme circumstances mean the difference between life and death for vulnerable members of society. The canny canines are trained to respond to vital sounds which hearing people take for granted such as the door bell, telephone and smoke alarms.This year, we hope to raise £10k – enough to sponsor two dogs – to help make a real difference to deaf people’s lives in the North East.
