Little Shoppers

Characterised by our mascot – Bernie Bear – the Little Shopper Stay scheme aims to help families enjoy a relaxed, safe and carefree day out by minimising the trauma and distress of children and parents who may become separated whilst in the centre.

 

The idea behind the scheme is very simple. 

• On entering the centre children will be issued with a wrist band on which their parent or guardian will write their contact details. 
• If the child becomes separated from their parent they will be told to find a shop window which has the Bernie Bear mascot displayed. 
• Parents can then phone the Bridges using the information on the Little Shopper information card that they will have received along with the wristband. 
• We can then send security guards to go and look around the shops for the child and reunite them with their parents, with minimum distress. Bridges staff are always on hand to help parents or guardians fill out the wristband.
