Ahoy there, Bridges Beach!

Summer has arrived in the Bridges with a sandy addition to central square.

The Bridges’ popular indoor beach will be open from today until Sunday 2 September, with a whole host of FREE events planned to keep the little ones entertained during the school holidays:

Weds 1st August

The Creation Station will be on the beach from 10am – 2pm with a host of fun activities:

 Decorate card ‘sunglasses’ using pens, gems and feathers.

 Make Play-Doh sea inspired creatures.

 Colour beach themed sheets using pens.

 

Weds 8th August

The Creation Station will be on the beach from 10am – 2pm with a host of fun activities:

  • Make a ‘bug’ hat using collage materials.

 Make Play-Doh nature inspired creatures.

 Colour nature themed sheets using pens.

 

Every Friday – Sunderland Empire Theatre will be giving away a family pass to this year’s Panto, which is Peter Pan in their treasure competition on the beach.

Bank Holiday Weekend 

Saturday, Sunday and Monday. 10am-3pm.

Bridges Beach Clean and story time with Theatre Space.

Little ones will be taught about plastic pollution, ocean waste and what they can do to prevent and help it. There’ll be dramatisations, story time and certificates for brilliant beach cleaners!
