What is ShopAbility
ShopAbility is a scheme provided by The Bridges providing customers with limited mobility the opportunity to enjoy shopping in the centre by hiring one of two motorised scooters.
ShopAbility is for anyone over the age of 17. The service is available to anyone who needs assistance due to mobility problems.
There is no limit on the number of hours you can hire the scooters, however, we will require pre-payment and we respectfully ask scooters are returned on time so other users can access them.
A deposit of £20 is required per use. This is refunded when the scooter is returned.
Scooter hire is charged at £2.50 per hour. We will ask for ID every time you hire a scooter so please bring it on every visit.
The equipment is available for hire during our normal opening hours from 9am, and must be returned no later than 4pm on the day of hire.
