The UK’s favourite noodle bar, Chopstix, has opened its first store in Sunderland at the Bridges Shopping Centre.
Open Monday to Sunday from 10:30am to 9pm, the new store seats up to 48 diners and has created 20 new jobs for the city.
Chopstix has quickly become one of the UK’s most popular quick-service restaurants, with its focus on bold Asian flavours served in a quick and accessible way making it a firm favourite nationwide.
Alongside takeaway classics such as Sweet & Sour Chicken and Salt ’N’ Pepper Chicken, Chopstix also offers a range of fresh flavours, including the spicy Firecracker Chicken with a fiery garlic and chilli seasoning, as well as brand favourites like Chicken Katsu Curry and the brand’s signature Caramel Drizzle Chicken.
Chopstix’s popular dishes are also available to order via Click & Collect and Chopstix Delivery through the Chopstix website or app, as well as from delivery platforms including Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat.
The opening follows a number of new store launches, expansions and relocations at the Bridges in 2025, as part of a wider plan to revitalise vacant spaces, with further announcements expected in 2026.
