Easter Egg Appeal Successfully Delivers to Worthy Causes
Your generosity resulted in the donation of over 350 Easter eggs for our Easter Egg Appeal, organised in partnership with Sun FM and the Salvation Army.
The donated Easter eggs were delivered by the Easter Bunny to families receiving Food Parcels; Children’s Homes, the Mother and Child Unit at the hospital and to specific deserving Community Groups.
Julie from the Salvation Army, who helped identify beneficiaries and distribute the eggs was delighted by the amount of eggs that were collected during the three-week campaign.
“We are always amazed by the generosity of the people of Sunderland, they always go above and beyond and Easter is no different. For all of us we’ve gone through so much during the last two years, we’ve faced various struggles of our own, yet the people of Sunderland have taken the time and effort to think of others – for this on their behalf we say thank you. You are amazing folks, bringing a smile to faces this Easter time.”
