Sunderland AFC supporters have a brand new destination to shop for official club merchandise, with the opening of the new Sunderland AFC store at the Bridges Shopping Centre.
Located opposite Next, the new store offers a fresh retail experience in the heart of the city centre, featuring a wide range of official merchandise, gifts and accessories alongside the club’s core kit offering.
The store officially opened its doors on Friday 12 June, with SAFC legend Gary Bennett MBE and club mascots Samson and Delilah welcoming the first supporters through the doors. Fans enjoyed a special launch event featuring exclusive giveaways and a Spin-to-Win Wheel, with prizes including hospitality tickets and a signed Sunderland AFC shirt.
Visitors were among the first to shop the new 2026/27 Sunderland AFC training wear collection, produced in partnership with Hummel. The training range is the first of several exciting launches planned this summer, with the club’s home, away and third kits set to arrive in the coming months.
If you missed the opening day celebrations, there’s still plenty to look forward to. The store will continue its launch weekend celebrations on Saturday 13 June with more freebies and giveaways available throughout the day and one of the club’s mascots will also be making a special appearance in-store between 1pm and 2pm.
The opening marks Sunderland AFC’s permanent return to the Bridges since 2018, following a series of successful festive pop-up stores in the centre.

The Sunderland AFC store is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
